Process & packages

Animation in Greenland: how we make films people understand

We make 2D and whiteboard animation in Nuuk, Greenland, in six steps that are the same for every project – with a handful of clear packages. You always know what happens next and what you get.

The process, step by step

  1. 01

    Client meeting

    We listen first

Your goals, your audience and the one message that has to land. We research the health topic in close collaboration with you and agree the focus.

  2. 02

    Written story

    The story in plain words

A narrative framework based on real stories, then a script that is easy to understand, puts people first and is culturally grounded.

  3. 03

    Storyboard & your feedback

    Sketch first

Every scene is visualised with clear illustrations, so we can plan the emotional journey together. You comment before any animation starts.

  4. 04

    Translation

    Greenlandic, Danish or English

The script is adapted for meaning and culture in each language, not translated word for word.

  5. 05

    Voice-over recording

    In the studio

The voice-over is recorded professionally in the studio, and we add subtitles for accessibility.

  6. 06

    Animation & delivery

    It moves

Dynamic animation with warmth, clarity and emotional depth. Your feedback is folded in at every step, and we deliver films ready for social media, teaching and campaigns.

Animation styles

2D animation

2D animation creates movement in a two-dimensional space. Characters and backgrounds are created in a flat 2D world, often used for cartoons, marketing videos and educational materials. It is effective for storytelling, with vibrant characters and dynamic scenes that engage audiences visually and emotionally.

Whiteboard animation

Whiteboard animation is drawn as you watch, as if by hand on a whiteboard. It is excellent for educational content, explainer videos and training, because it simplifies complex subjects with easy-to-follow visuals. The sequential drawing keeps viewers engaged and makes information easy to digest.

Frame-by-frame animation

A classic technique where every frame is hand-drawn, giving incredible fluidity and detail. It excels at expressive characters and rich narratives, with a personal, artistic feel – so your message is not just seen, but felt.

Questions

Do we own the finished film?

Yes. The finished film is yours. You can show, share and publish it wherever and for as long as you like.

Can you make versions in Greenlandic, Danish or English?

Yes. We write and voice films in Greenlandic, Danish or English, and we can add language versions later. Each version is adapted for meaning and culture, not translated word for word.

How involved do we need to be?

Mostly at three points: the first meeting, feedback on the script and feedback on the storyboard. We handle the research, writing, voice-over and animation, and keep you updated along the way.

Can you work from our existing material or script?

Yes. Send us reports, leaflets, guidelines or a finished script, and we turn them into a story that works on screen.

Can we get a framework agreement?

Yes – for example for a health series or recurring language versions.

Do you invoice from Greenland?

Yes, as Sammivik Consultancy ApS, CVR 43597582.

Not sure which package fits?
